Computers- The Basics

Learn the basics of Microsoft Windows, including how to use the mouse, keyboard, copying, deleting, moving files, and more.  This hands-on course will also cover how to launch applications, control windows, and set your own preferences as well as take a brief look at internet and e-mail.  Great starter course for anyone wanting to learn the computer, brush up on their skills, or prepare to take more advanced computer courses.

Take apart a computer and find out what all those drives, plugs, and other hardware can do to upgrade your old computer and make it run faster and more efficiently.  We’ll give you hands-on experience for hardware assembly and interfaces to enhance your MS Windows-based computer.  Learn techniques to upgrade components to add memory, faster video adapters (games/graphics), and larger/faster hard drives.

If you have taken the Ebay level 1 course with us, this is a great class to reinforce what you have started to explore as a beginner. You need an Ebay account and Paypal® in order to take this class as it will be a more hands-on exploration into the process of selling, setting up photos, and using a good write-up to create interest in your items. You should have familiarity in logging in to Ebay and just a very basic knowledge of Ebay screens.
